MASTERING PAINTING:
A PERSONALIZED ARTISTIC JOURNEY
Mastering Painting is a tailored program designed to meet your individual artistic goals. The course typically runs from 3 to 9 months, with weekly sessions that adapt to your pace and focus. The program covers essential aspects of painting, including:
Painting Technology and Supplies
In this section, I will be showing you the foundations of painting materials. I’ll teach you about the essential components of acrylic paints, focusing on pigments, binders and mediums. You’ll also learn how to mix your own paints, create unique textures, and experiment with different mediums to achieve a variety of effects. Understanding pigments is key—each pigment behaves differently and can be used in specific ways to achieve vibrant, subtle, or unexpected effects. I’ll demonstrate the variety of surfaces for painting, with a special focus on canvas preparation, from stretching and priming to treating surfaces for optimal durability. Additionally, I’ll teach you about a range of tools—brushes, knives, palettes, squeegees, and sprays—and how to select the right tools to create the effects you desire.

Color Theory and Composition
Understanding how to build a painting step-by-step is key. In this section, I’ll teach you color theory—how to mix and use colors confidently—and composition techniques for constructing balanced, engaging works. I’ll demonstrate how to layer your painting in stages, ensuring each stage contributes to the final piece, and how to work with light, contrast, and harmony.

Variety of Painting Techniques
The course provides exposure to various painting techniques, from translucent layers to impasto. I’ll show you the effects of thick brushstrokes, delicate washes, and layering methods, giving you the flexibility to choose the style and technique that best expresses your artistic vision.
Every class is interactive and personalized, designed to help you refine your technique while nurturing your unique artistic voice. By the end of the course, you will have a stronger understanding of materials, technical processes, and your own artistic identity.
