Seventy Years of Inspiration: The Story of the Bakersfield Museum of Art opened to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, followed by a reception and silent auction.
70th Anniversary Silent Auctions
April 17, 2026 & April 18, 2026
Among more than 60 works of art, including paintings, drawings, ceramics, blown glass, sculpture, and screen prints, Vojislav Radovanović’s mixed-media piece, Cry Me a River, was sold at a silent auction. Proceeds from the sale will help raise funds for the museum’s future programming.

Bidding opens at 7:00 PM and closes at 9:30 PM.
Saturday, April 18: Past, Present, & Future:Celebrating 70 Years
Bidding opens at 6:00 PM and closes at 8:30 PM.
